The ultimate shoe designer Christian Louboutin has announced that he will be expanding his business by launching a cosmetics range, Christian Louboutin Beauté, in 2013. Monsieur Louboutin was unspecific about what beauty products the line will be producing, but I have a feeling there might be at least one red nail polish in there, considering the story of how Louboutin shoes got their red soles!
I’m very excited to see what the Louboutin beauty range will hold in store, and in particular I can’t wait to see the packaging. Are you excited for the new range too?

One of the latest hairstyle trends to hit the headlines is the Ombre effect, sometimes also referred to as ‘dip dyeing’. Spotted on celebrities from Ashlee Simpson to Rachel Bilson, this look has really caught on quickly and I am wondering whether to try it out myself.
The ombre effect can be either subtle or strong, and works well on many different hair colours. It is a versatile trend with a natural and rustic appeal to it, and it is much easier to maintain than regular dyeing. You don’t need to worry about your roots growing out, and also it is less damaging to the hair in the long-term as it can easily be trimmed out. I am very tempted to give it a go…so what do you think? Would you try it yourselves too?

MAC is my favourite artistic makeup brand, always trying something different, creative and colourful. I love their special edition collections and this new campaign is no exception, with a bright and bold nautical theme for a summer at sea. The fun-filled ‘Hey, Sailor!’ collection is packaged perfectly in navy blue and white sailing stripes, and I will definitely be adding a few items to my makeup bag – most probably starting with the ‘Red Race’ lipstick…

It can easily go from elegant and classic, to modern and cutting-edge, and can be worn as an everyday or evening look. You will see everyone from celebrities to children sporting pretty plaits, and there are so many different types and styles you can experiment with.
